Co-Director & Creative Lead

Sam founded Sustain Video in 2018, with the dream of building a video creation agency from his base on the edge of the beautiful Peak District National Park.

As a technically adept and creative video editor, as well as an experienced senior digital producer, Sam closely manages relationships with clients such as Manchester City, ATP Tour and the BBC Philharmonic - editing and delivering digital and broadcast video and programmes, developing content ideas, and producing live digital sport output.

Before founding Sustain Video, Sam worked for eight years at BBC North in Sport, Children’s and Entertainment - producing programming such as the FA People’s Cup for Get Inspired, and working at events including the Rio Olympics and Wimbledon.

Sam Roberts

Co-Director & Executive Producer

Tom joined Sustain Video in 2022, following six seasons at Formula 1. As Executive Producer, Tom was responsible for developing F1's industry-leading digital video team, looking after production and staffing across all social, website and OTT content in their era of record-breaking audience growth.

A journalism graduate, Tom became a commercial radio presenter before joining the BBC’s prestigious Production Trainee Scheme. He later worked at BBC Sport on major events such as the Olympics, Premier League, World Cup & Wimbledon, establishing a reputation for creating original and viral content.

TOM BOWKER

PRODUCER & Video Editor

Dominic joined Sustain Video at the start of 2021, as the company’s first full-time member of staff.

Dominic produces and edits digital and broadcast video content for several of the Sustain Video’s key clients including the ATP Tour, Manchester City and BBC Sport.

Prior to joining Sustain Video, Dominic spent eight years working for the BBC - learning his trade in Children’s Interactive before working as an Assistant Producer on Match of the Day: Kickabout, allowing him to travel the country in pursuit of the latest football stories and trends whilst developing key stills in producing and video editing.

DOMINIC WHITE

PRODUCER & Video Editor

Josh joined Sustain Video in 2022, and produces race weekend content for Formula 2 and 3, alongside editing digital and social content for clients including the ATP Tour and Manchester City.

Before joining the team, Josh cut his teeth as a Broadcast Journalist at Premier League Productions, before going on to join BBC Children’s as an Assistant Producer and working on programmes including Match of the Day: Kickabout and The Dengineers.

Then as a freelance Digital Editor and Producer, he collaborated with clients including BBC Sport, the Scottish Football Association and the Professional Footballers’ Association.

JOSH STEELE

PRODUCER

Amy joined Sustain in 2023 to work on Musical Storyland with the BBC Philharmonic - a new TV commission for CBeebies and BBC Teach.

Amy started out as a broadcast journalism graduate at BBC Breakfast and Inside Out, before moving into Children’s content - working on a range of in-house productions including Blue Peter, CBeebies House, CBBC HQ and Children in Need.

Most recently Amy developed and produced content celebrating the BBC’s 100th Centenary Year, touring the country on the BBC 100 Schools Tour and BBC Bitesize Careers Tour.

AMY BAKKES

Video Editor

Matt’s journey as a video editor started shortly after university at BBC Sport - where he worked on large events such as the Olympics and Fifa World Cup.

Since then he has spent several years working across both written and video sports output - producing and editing social, highlights and feature content for Premier League football clubs and the Super League Show on BBC One.

At Sustain Video, Matt works across a range of content - cutting partner activations for Manchester City and fast-turnaround race highlights for Formula 2 and Formula 3.

MATT McGLADDERY

VIDEO EDITOR

Issy is a passionate video editor with a background in media and a specialisation in digital video. With a love for the creative and technical aspects of editing, she discovered her calling while working as a Technical Operator after university.

Since then, Issy has worked as an Edit Assistant at various post-production houses in Manchester, where she gained experience across diverse genres such as animation, drama, and documentary. Her first editing job was on BBC One’s Morning Live, cutting VTs for the show.

Since joining Sustain in 2023, Issy has edited features, hype edits and digital content for clients including ATP Tour, BBC Sport and Formula 1.

ISSY WHARTON

Video Editor

Millie started out as a Technical Operator at The Farm Group where she worked on large events such as Wimbledon and the Olympics. 

Since then Millie has worked as a Video Editor at various film production companies around Manchester including Trunk BBI and Fuzzy Duck. Working across a range of genres including music videos, social documentaries and AV’s for museums and galleries.  

Millie joined Sustain Video in 2023 to work across our short form and feature content for clients such as ATP Tour, the Jockey Club and the BBC Philharmonic.

MILLIE THOMAS

MOTION DESIGNER

Katherine’s career in motion design started out at Channel 4, working across their music channels to create show packages, promos and OSP for the likes of 4Music and Kiss.
 
She then spent 12 years working as a freelancer, helping brands and organisations to tell their stories. Creating anything from title sequences, large scale OOH, retail POS, explainer videos to social media posts
. Her most recent clients include CNN, Vice News and The Guardian where she created content for their social media platforms.

Katherine joined Sustain Video in early 2024 as the company’s first in-house Motion Designer. She adds her motion design flare to all of our output - including Formula 1, The Jockey Club and the World Rally Championship. 

KATHERINE STEPHENS

JUNIOR Video Editor

Sam joined the Sustain Video team in 2024, as the company's first Junior Video Editor.

Prior to working at Sustain Video, Sam cut his teeth into producing digital videos and photography content for The Soccer Archive.

At Sustain Video, Sam uses his natural visual flair, photography expertise and unique creative style in working across a range of football content - cutting features, hype edits and digital content.
