Sustain Giving

Through our Sustain Giving scheme, we donate 3% of our company profits to organisations, groups and projects that make a positive environmental or social impact in our local area.

In the past five years we’ve supported sustainability and environmental projects at New Mills Community Pantry, Derbyshire Wildlife Trust, New Mills Nurtures Nature Trail, New Mills Festival, Rock Mill Centre, Visit New Mills, St Mary’s Catholic Voluntary Academy and more!

Our grants support both ongoing and one-off projects. We make the application process for funding simple and straightforward for local people to get the support they need.

Some of our recent Giving Projects

Rock Mill Centre

We provide regular funding for various projects at the Rock Mill Centre – a community and information hub providing space for local groups, visitor information, events and more.

In 2025 we funded a ‘Good Box’ so visitors can make digital donations, resulting in approximate additional funding of £120 per month. More recently we have funded accessible displays for their ‘River Runs Through’ exhibition and New Mills Heritage Trail Stamp Collecting Scheme, allowing the Rock Mill Centre to extend the trail to additional locations.

Nature New Mills

We provide an annual grant to Nature New Mills – a group committed to supporting the community to protect habitats and endangered species, help nature recover, and increase the variety and abundance of local wildlife.

Our grant funds their core operations like insurance and website hosting, enabling the team to hold regular events & develop projects such as their ‘Nature Discovery’ public surveys and ‘River Guardians’ events.

New Mills Community Pantry

We are proud to provide grants to the New Mills Community Pantry, who provide local people and families in need with affordable, discounted and often free food – helping to alleviate the burden of rising costs.

Much of the Pantry’s stock is sourced from surplus food collections from local supermarkets. To date the project has redistributed nearly 60,000 meals, saving the equivalent of 93 tonnes of CO2.

Incredible Edible

We proudly support Incredible Edible New Mills, which transforms spaces in the town into usable gardening areas and brings the community together to learn skills and make connections.

They also share surplus food, seeds and plants with the wider community.

In addition to funding, we have also had the opportunity to volunteer our staff’s time, with the team volunteering during their lunch breaks.

Applications for Grants

We are currently welcoming applications.

If you need funding for a sustainability, nature or social project that will protect or improve our local environment, then please consider applying for a Sustain Giving grant. You can apply at any time and all projects need to be based within the High Peak to be eligible.
